RuneQuest II is published by Mongoose. It is the fifth published edition of the game which was originally published by Chaosium Inc. and can seen as one of the family of "Basic Role Playing" games. Although RQII is not published under the OGL, the previous edition by Mongoose was. The SRD for that edition can be downloaded as a PDF from BRP central and can also be downloaded from this wiki.
Note that at the end of 2011, Mongoose will no longer license the name RuneQuest from Issaries. Their current intention is to keep the system in print under the new name of Wayfarer.
